Submission from Dougie, Cardiff:
Having lived in Perth Australia for a few years I believe that Cardiff should adopt a transport scheme like the one in Perth run by TransPerth. the buses, trains and water buses are all run by one company and tickets are valid on all services. As we move forward getting people out of their cars and on to public transport is going to be a big issue for any government in Wales; the services in Perth are fast, clean and Transit Guards patrol trains and buses. I am a big believer that we could learn a lot from the way the Australians run the transport in Perth. I believe we could develop the water services and the whole route from the Bay to the City Centre and make it appealing to both citizens and tourists. So much potential with the right transport system in place.
Should we move to a transport system in Cardiff whereby, buses, trains and water buses are all run by one company and tickets are valid on all services?
